Welcome to Khatauli.in (“the Platform”). To ensure a safe, transparent, and positive experience for all users, we have established these guidelines. By using our Platform, you agree to comply with these rules across all our subdomains.

1. General Conduct

  • Respect all users and engage in ethical behavior.
  • Do not post false, misleading, or deceptive content.
  • Do not use the Platform for illegal, fraudulent, or harmful activities.
  • Do not harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
  • Do not engage in cyberattacks, hacking attempts, or unauthorized access.

2. Listing & Posting Guidelines

  • All listings must be lawful and comply with Indian regulations.
  • Users must own the rights to the content they post (text, images, videos, etc.).
  • No copyrighted material should be uploaded without permission.
  • No fake, misleading, or duplicate listings are allowed.
  • Listings should be relevant to the Platform’s categories and purpose.

3. Meeting & Transaction Safety

  • We do not facilitate transactions. Users are responsible for verifying buyers/sellers.
  • Always meet in a safe, public place when dealing with unknown individuals.
  • Avoid making advance payments to strangers or unknown accounts.
  • Verify items/services before completing any transaction.
  • Report suspicious listings or fraudulent activities immediately.

4. Prohibited Content & Activities

  • No listings related to illegal goods, drugs, weapons, or human trafficking.
  • No posting of explicit, violent, or discriminatory content.
  • No scams, pyramid schemes, or financial fraud.
  • No spamming, fake reviews, or manipulating search results.
  • No impersonation of individuals, businesses, or organizations.

5. Image & EXIF Data Awareness

  • Images may contain EXIF GPS metadata, which can reveal location details.
  • Users are responsible for removing EXIF data before uploading images.
  • We are not liable for any privacy risks arising from EXIF data exposure.

6. Cybersecurity Awareness

  • Do not share personal, financial, or sensitive information publicly.
  • Beware of phishing attempts, fake offers, and fraudsters.
  • Use strong passwords and enable security measures for your account.
  • If you suspect a cyber threat, report it to us immediately.

7. Account Management

  • Users must be at least 18 years old or have parental guidance to use the Platform.
  • Users must provide accurate and valid contact details.
  • We reserve the right to remove content, suspend accounts, or take legal action against users violating guidelines.

8. Legal Compliance

  • Users must comply with Indian laws, Uttar Pradesh (UP) jurisdiction, and IT Act, 2000.
  • We are not responsible for any legal disputes arising between users.
  • Any legal disputes must be settled in courts of Uttar Pradesh, India.

9. Reporting Violations

  • If you encounter fraud, scams, or guideline violations, report them to support@khatauli.in.
  • We take user safety seriously and will take appropriate action against violations.

10. Changes to Guidelines

We may update these guidelines periodically. Continued use of the Platform signifies acceptance of the updated terms.
